Steps for Survivors: Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

Get moving with the “Queens Arise” Program! Every step you take helps us to provide human trafficking survivors with the education, training, mentorship, and internships needed to help them become successful, independent entrepreneurs.

Challenge:

Get moving and count those steps! Walk as much as possible between Thursday, November 16th and Sunday, December 31st. On December 31st, participants will be asked to submit their step count to mentorship@queensofdigitalmarketing.org. This should be a screenshot or picture of your total step count for the entire program duration.
Ask others to show their support and help you to fundraise! Ask your family, friends, and other associates to support your efforts by donating to your personal fundraising page. Fundraising will end on December 31st at 11:59 PM.

How to Get Started:

Create a fundraising page under the Queens of Digital Marketing Team.
Pay the $40 registration fee. Be sure to include your shipping address on the form so we can send you a complimentary tee shirt! Please note on the registration the option for shirt size in on the second screen.
To create your fundrasing page please click the blue and white fundrasie button, this will create your personal donation page. Please share your page's custom donation URL with your potential supporters.
Track your steps! Steps can be tracked on your iPhone or Apple Watch via the Health App or on an Android via the Step, Pacer Pedometer, or Step Tracker. Fitbits can also be used to track steps.

Prizes:

The participant with the most steps will win two airline vouchers for up to $500 each!

Submitting Your Steps:

Take a screenshot or photo of your total step count from November 16th through December 31st. This can be done in whichever app or tracker you chose to use.
Email mentorship@queensofdigitalmarketing.org by January 2nd, 2024. In the email, please include your total number of steps, your first and last name, and the step screenshots/photos.

More about the Queens Arise Survivor Initiative:

The Queens of Digital Marketing are known for their philanthropic dedication to helping survivors of Human Trafficking and Domestic Abuse. After working with Elevate Academy over the last year to provide potential job opportunities and support for female-identifying survivors, the Queens have formed a new partnership with Carlos Corona’s Unik Paid-Per-Call Academy.

Unik Academy has pledged to provide several scholarships to women who are survivors of Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence. After submitting an essay explaining why they may be well-suited for this opportunity, scholarship winners are given free digital marketing training and mentorship. This helps women survivors of Human Trafficking to discover their own potential and capability for entrepreneurial success and aids them as they find their own place in the industry to financially support themselves and their healing while keeping their physical location anonymous.

As part of this new program, the Queens provide mentors for these strong survivors so that they will always have encouragement and resources for any issues that they may encounter. Any and all funds raised by this campaign will be directly utilized to provide our survivors with the essentials needed to complete the program, such as computers, Wi-Fi, mental health support, and certifications to utilize in their resumés.
