Join us for our second Branching Out program–a series of monthly nature connection programs on Wednesdays with Mountain Roots. We’ll meet up at Bent Creek’s Ledford Branch Parking area. Come prepared with good walking shoes (and socks), and appropriate layers for the weather. The Mountain Roots crew will guide the group through simple wayfinding and navigation skills using a map and compass and then the group(s) will head out onto the trails of Bent Creek (with the Mountain Roots / YOR staff) to put their new skills to the test as they navigate a course back to the starting place. In true experiential ed fashion, we’ll also tie in the wayfinding we do in making choices and navigating the in’s and out’s of our daily lives.

All families will need to complete a release form at drop-off & food will be provided by YOR.

Drop Off/Pick Up Info:

We will meet at Bent Creek’s Ledford Branch Parking area at 3pm.

Snacks and hangout time will be from 3-4pm, and we'll venture into the wayfinding and navigation activity at about 4pm.

Youth will be picked up from the Bent Creek’s Ledford Branch Parking area at 6pm.
