Workshop 2/3: Municipalities and their Inchoate Rights

This is the 2nd in our 3 part workshop on "Municipal Water Law: Where are we now?". This session is on Municipalities and their Inchoate Rights and will cover a couple different cases. Speakers TBA. There is an option to purchase an all inclusive ticket at a discounted price that includes all 3 workshops: Municipal Water Law Overview & Compromises, Municipalities and their Inchoate Rights, and Municipal Water Use Efficiency & Conservation. 2 CLE credits each workshop, 6 CLE credits total pending approval.
Story
The Center for Environmental Law & Policy was founded by University of Washington Law School Professor Ralph W. Johnson and Rachael Paschal Osborn in 1993 to serve as a voice for the public interest water resource management and preservation in Washington State. They recognized that water belongs to all of us, and that the Public Trust Doctrine should be used to protect this precious resource for humans, wildlife, and life itself. Professor Johnson's scholarship in the Public Trust Doctrine has since provided the foundation for innumerable legal actions to protect each citizen’s right to clean water flowing in our rivers and streams. With the leadership of Professor Johnson, CELP became an independent non-profit in 1995.
True to Professor Johnson’s vision, CELP has improved water laws in Washington State and protected rivers and streams throughout Western Washington and the Columbia River. See some of our victories here.
