In 2021 we started a soft baked dog treat company named Must be Ruff. We were on a mission to provide pups with the highest quality ingredients we could find. Our mission was to make them feel like grandma baked them a healthy batch of treats that would contribute to them living longer, healthier and happier lives.

Along our journey as we got deeper into the dog kingdom, I was noticing the bond that was happening between my kids and our Dobermann Kirby. As a child, I grew up on a farm in Mississippi where we had plenty of animals. While growing up on a farm teaches you alot about animals, it doesn't always teach to have compassion for them. I've watched my kids (ages 9 and 10) lean on Kirby as a friend during sad and happy times. I've watch Kirby protect them, and she even barks at me when the kids are being too loud! One of the best moments is when my kids developed a family tree and they included Kirby.

It's moments like this where I think every child should experience the companionship of animals and learn the benefits of having compassion for them.

We will use the donations to pay for transportation, meals and for organizations like the Humane Society, Pet Rescues and Honey farms to come out to schools and have interactive educational seminars.
