sweet Raven from the CU Humane Society!

Raven is the most kindhearted, sweet, playful and loyal girl. She will be your best friend for life!

All animals at the CU Humane are special, but Raven is my personal favorite. I have known her for for close to two years, from the time I started walking her while she was housed in the old shelter in Urbana. I heard about her sad beginnings and expected a subdued and depressed dog. Instead, she amazed me with her sheer happiness and joy for life, her incredible enthusiasm and love for humans. Every time I would come to take her for a walk she would bring me her toys as offerings, role on her back from excitement and shower me with kisses. I love her deeply and know she loves me back. If this were a perfect world I would have taken her back home with me - but four cats that I love equally as much would not be able to cope. In my dreams, I have a separate house for her, where she can run, role, fetch and be happy. Nothing would make me happier if someone out there would offer her that little joy she has been denied for two long years.
