Congo has been an integral part of our family's life since Leila and Daniel's adoption in 2015. In the summer of 2019, we were able to spend a month in Congo and share with all four of our children the amazing people, place and culture of Congo. More importantly, they were able to be part of the amazing work of Mwana through hearing stories, building friendships with children, helping with practical tasks...it is our deepest honor to continue supporting the work of this incredible place! 

We are fundraising for salaries for the CLEANING TEAM! The Mwana women who are part of the cleaning staff work tirelessly all throughout each day doing laundry, disinfecting toys, changing sheets and mopping the floors to make sure the Refuge is clean and healthy for the Mwana children. Providing vulnerable women with employment like this is one of the key ways to preserve families in orphan prevention.
