Join us in supporting the youth of our community at the Mountain Youth Charities 4th Annual Barn Dance!

In the summer of 2019, the 3rd Annual Mountain Youth Charities’ BARN DANCE & BAR-B-Q was attended by almost 200 patrons, raising over $70,000 to benefit numerous local youth organizations. The annual event paused due to limitations of COVID 19, but we are excited to carry on our philanthropic tradition in 2023 and many years to come!

About Mountain Youth Charities

Mountain Youth Charities (MYC) is a local, volunteer-run 501(c)3 based in Cashiers. It was founded in 2013 and continues to raise money “to support great programs for great kids.” In 2013 and 2014, MYC hosted two highly successful “Mountain Challenge” events featuring tennis greats Andy Roddick and Jim Courier which raised enough money to launch the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau in Cashiers. MYC also provided the leadership to start and run the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau in its first year.

For the last 10 years, MYC has raised money through donations and from the proceeds of 3 successful BARN DANCE events (2017, 2018, 2019) as well as several other smaller events. With these funds, MYC has given grants to local youth organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau, the Junior Appalachian Musicians, the Blue Ridge School Education Foundation, the Summit Charter School Foundation, Hampton Preschool & Early Learning Center, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cashiers-Highlands.
