Gus
Put in front of our rescue in August of 2023. The founder of a rescue assist group asked us to pull Gus for her to foster. We did. She also quickly expressed that Gus was not working out there. One of our core team members stepped up to foster Gus. Gus is the sweetest boy but he is terrified of just about everything. GUS IS IN DIRE NEED OF TRAINING! Gus is not currently adoptable and needs this training so that he can become adoptable, the alternative would be euthanasia. Gus can be on guard with his person, guarding them. Gus is a happy dog but he will quickly shut down. Other dogs do bring him out of his shell and he loves the female resident dog in foster. They play togetehr, often. Gus is young, only a year old. We recently posted for an indoor kennel for him, this will give him more room as MSGBR and his fosters work with him, more. If you would like to meet Gus, please PM the page. If you are a local to Hagerstown, trainer, who would like to work with us to help Gus further, please PM the page. Below is Gus’s bio when he came to rescue is August of 2023. Thank you to his MSGBR foster family for sticking through this with him, you are all angels; ADOPTABLE GUS
Meet this young and handsome boy. ADOPTABLE GUS is decompressing and we are learning more about this handsome guy.
Meet Gus - The Shy Sweetheart Looking for His Forever Home!
Are you ready to open your heart and home to a special pup in need? Look no further than Gus, our lovable approx. 6-month-old furry friend who's patiently waiting for his forever family. Gus might be a bit timid at first, but don't let that fool you – he's got a heart of gold and a personality that's just waiting to shine! Gus has had a unique journey, spending his early months in a shelter with minimal human interaction. As a result, he's a bit nervous around new faces and can be vocal when he feels unsure. But fear not, because Gus is a quick learner! He's been working hard to overcome his shyness, and with patience and consistent correction, he's learning to respond to commands like "quiet" and "good boy." Despite his initial hesitations, Gus is an absolute sweetheart once he gets to know you. Once you sit down and spend some quality time with him, he's all about cuddles, kisses, and forming a deep bond. He's shown his affectionate side to kids aged 6 months to over 10 years old, proving that he's got room in his heart for everyone. Gus is also making leaps and bounds in the crate training department. He's learning to spend the night in his crate while his human sleeps nearby, ensuring he feels safe and secure. And oh boy, has he discovered the joys of exploration! If left to his own devices, he'll happily gather up shoes, leashes, and anything else that catches his fancy – a true testament to his playful spirit. His fosters report, it's been a joy to watch Gus come out of his shell and embrace life with newfound confidence. While he's still a puppy with some growing and learning to do, he's eager to find a loving family who will continue his training journey. Gus is a good boy with a heart full of potential, and he can't wait to become a cherished member of his forever family. If you're ready to give Gus the love and care he deserves, reach out to us today. Let's work together to give this wonderful pup the happy ending he's been waiting for.
