Sweet Dreams of Wilkes

Sweet Dreams of Wilkes is an initiative led by Wilkes Youth Life Development's Teen Action Council. Our mission: "Giving kids the rest they deserve." We provide clean, cozy beds to children aged 5-18. Each child also receives 2-3 books. Our youth team delivers with joy, joined by adult leaders, fostering unity and compassion. Together, we sow hope and resilience, one bedtime story at a time.

Sweet Dreams of Wilkes was created in 2022 by a group of leaders in Wilkes County. As the project progressed, it became clear that the initiative needed to expand. In December 2023, WYLD's Teen Action Council participated in their first bed installation. This experience deeply impacted the teens and led to their takeover of the program.
