TLACT Passport Project
Due to recent Texas DPS and Vital Statistics policy changes, a passport card may be the only form of valid photo ID a trans/non-binary Texan can obtain with the accurate name and gender they navigate the world with listed on it. U.S. passport policies very well may change on or after January 20, 2025 with the new administration. Help us make getting a passport card feasible for trans/non-binary people born or living in Texas. This need has never been greater and we need your support to meet it. This will be the third round of our Passport Project. In the first two rounds we funded 100% of eligible applications, allowing 168 trans/non-binary Texans to afford a passport card with less than $15,000. $85 funds an adult passport card (application and reasonable photo fee) and $70 funds a minor passport card.
