Support La Mesa Boricua de Florida

Dear friends:

Our work has been key in elevating the general awareness of the Puerto Rican footprint throughout the Sunshine state, and today we can say this is:” A table where we can all sit and work together”, (“Una Mesa en la que nos podamos sentar todos y todas a trabajar juntos”)

 We have achieve: the capacity of the organizations and collaborate to build a better community for our Puerto Ricans in Florida and keep an eye on Puerto Rico and Washington D.C.

Since 2020 thru now have been difficult times for La Mesa because we depend upon the generosity of individuals and organizations that believe in our projects and our commitment to our Puerto Rican organizations in Fl State. Today we approached you to consider donating to us.

Our goal is raising $30,000 in the next few months that will allow us to continue operating while several foundation grants in the pipeline come through. That projection can bring us to continue the projects that we already started for Women awareness like: campaign Bien Puesta Pa’ Votar and Bravas y Poderosas, access to Health Care, the importance of having a voice in the future of our planet with an environmental conservation view, fight against racism and xenophobia, diversity, and inclusion the importance of our electoral participation, political candidates, educational effort, what other services our communities wants, educate them about Puerto Rico, Leadership identification and development programs. Generating a better conversation with Florida's and elsewhere academia about our strength and interest and our solidarity with many other causes. Finally, we are identifying and helping newly organized local organizations and helping them in their development. Others campaigns like: La Mesa Boricua Recomienda targeting the Puerto Rican restaurants, small business and entrepreneurs; La Casita Boricua is our Cultural Project with Plena and Bomba classes; We are also developing new projects for climate change awareness.

La Mesa Boricua is a 501 c 3 organization that supports the Florida Immigrant Coalition. Any donation is considerable as tax deductible. We encourage you to consider donating to us. Your help will allow La Mesa to positively impact Boricuas in Florida. “No le fallemos a Puerto Rico”.
