Under the leadership of Dr. David Campbell, NACC Athletics was born. The program began with Men's and Women's golf and has quickly expanded to include Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track, Esports, Women's Softball, and, most recently, Men's Soccer.   

What started as a vision to enhance student life and provide new opportunities for competition has evolved into one of the fastest-growing athletic programs in the Alabama Community College Conference. Each sport is built on the core Mustang values of integrity, excellence, and teamwork, ensuring that student-athletes are not only prepared to compete at a high level but also to excel academically and contribute to their communities.

This rapid growth reflects NACC’s commitment to creating a vibrant campus culture that energizes both students and the surrounding community. From the energy of Mustang Field to the national spotlight of Mustang Gaming, each team adds to a tradition that is still being written. As new facilities rise and rosters grow, NACC Athletics stands as a source of pride for the college, the region, and the entire Mustang family.

Looking ahead, the future of Mustang Athletics is bright. With a strong foundation in place and growing community support, NACC is poised to continue expanding opportunities for student-athletes. Whether through new sports, enhanced training facilities, or expanded competitive schedules, the program will remain focused on delivering excellence both on and off the field.
