Giving Tuesday 2024

Choosing between rent, food, transportation and necessary health screenings like mammograms is not a choice we should have to make in the United States, the world's largest economy.  Yet, there are thousands of women that make that choice daily.

A recent HarrisX poll of women in the recommended screening age (40* - 74) showed:

  1. 39% had not received a mammogram or breast cancer screening in the past 12 months (that's 28 million women!)
  2. 42% of those women said they do not plan to get screened in the next year (that's nearly 12 million!)
  3. 1 in 3 cited COST as the factor for why they don't plan to screen. (nearly 4 million)

We cannot accept financial barriers as a reason for women skipping their scan when research shows that early detection provides improved outcomes and dramatically reduces mortality. Your donation helps provide mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and more to medically underserved women in our area.

*Women of average risk should begin screening at age 40
