Let's Rally Together to Install a New Scoreboard at Newhall Field!

The mission of Lynnfield Little League is to provide the necessary support and structure to make youth baseball a great experience for all players and families in our town.

Via this fundraising campaign, we're asking our baseball families to consider making a financial donation in support of a major investment needed for Newhall Field.

Through the dedicated work of many volunteers, much has been invested over the years in maintaining and improving the various baseball fields that we're able to play and practice on. Our fields remain an important foundation for the ongoing baseball programs offered across all ages and abilities.

Newhall Front is the field that all kids will ultimately play on as they progress from Tee Ball to Single A, up thru Minors, before eventually reaching Majors.

It's a special baseball field for the town of Lynnfield - and it is badly in need of a new scoreboard!

About This Fundraiser

As most players and fans can attest, this beautiful field is in major need of a new scoreboard as the existing board has not been operational for many years.

This is a sizable capital expense that is a significant addition to the annual operating budget of Lynnfield Little League.

We're asking for our baseball community to help make this project come to life.

Important to Know:

Roughly $15,000 will be needed to remove the existing scoreboard and install a new modern scoreboard on the existing support beams. The new scoreboard will have a much bigger and brighter display including ongoing pitch counter for both teams. It will offer scoring updates that will be visible to the majority of the park area. It will not be branded with a Fat Cactus logo.
All donations made to this fundraiser will go directly to Lynnfield Little League which is a 5013c non-profit. You will receive a tax deductible receipt via email for your donation.
You can make a donation in a variety of ways including debit, credit card, PayPal and Venmo (awesome!).
The fundraiser will run for approximately thirty days with a goal of having the new scoreboard installed by the end of this summer.
The new scoreboard will not only be a great asset for our in-town games for years to come, but it will make Newhall Front an even more attractive venue for District All-Star tournaments and other summer baseball leagues.
We're in the early stages of planning a celebratory event at Newhall Field upon installation of the new scoreboard as a big thank you to all who make up our baseball playing community. It will be a very fun, end-of-summer evening event out at the field!

Other Questions:

How much should you give? Answer: Every little bit helps us get closer to our target goal of $15,000 so give what you can afford. We'd love to see hundreds of people take an interest in this project and help generate real buzz around town. Imagine if we had over 250 donors rally behind this project!! What if we had more?!?!?
What happens when we raise more than the target goal amount? Answer: We all go out and celebrate at the 99! In all seriousness, there is a long list of needs across all fields in town including the possibility of putting scoreboards on other fields, the installation of batting cages (Glen Meadow), potential improvements to seating areas, and other long term maintenance needs. If we surpass our goal for the Newhall scoreboard, it allows LLL to invest the additional funds into programs, equipment, and field needs. Let's crush this goal and make even more improvements to other fields!
Can kids actively participate in the fundraising? Answer: Yes! If your enterprising player wants to personally help the cause, we can add individuals as 'team members' and they can fundraise directly with their friends and family. Just send an email to learn more on this option.
Is it okay to share this fundraiser with others in town? Answer: Yes! By sharing this fundraiser on your social media accounts and with your friends in town, you are helping to bring more awareness to Lynnfield Baseball. The more people that know about our baseball programs and amazing fields, the stronger our program will be!

A Home Run

There are few things in sports that have more nicknames then hitting a home run in baseball:

Dinger, jack, four bagger, blast, bomb, touch 'em all, gone yard, laser, moonshot. And that's just to name a few.

This fundraiser looks to hit a moonshot for Lynnfield baseball, large and ambitious - YES, but is it doable - WITHOUT QUESTION. If we all come together and put a good swing on this goal, soon we'll be looking up and out toward the fence at Newhall, a new scoreboard showing a big run posted for the home team.

Let's go hit that moonshot.
