The New London Area Food Pantry is an all-volunteer organization, established in 1986, serving the people of the greater New London / Southeastern CT area through the distribution of food to those who cannot afford to meet their nutritional needs. Food is received from Foodshare, the United Way/Labor Food Center, Midwest Food Bank, local farms, individuals and organizations. Food is also purchased with donated funds. We currently distribute every Monday and Thursday at the VFW on 110 Garfield Ave in New London CT. We also provide deliveries to the elderly, disabled or those without easy transportation to reach us.

With our location at the VFW, we provide a dignified Client Choice small-market experience to our guests. This location is in a food desert area of New London and provides much easier access for our guests.

However, due to rising grocery costs, lowering of SNAP benefits, and a 42% YoY increase in the number of families / meals served (>320 families/week), our budget has increased significantly. Since we are all-volunteer, all donated funds will be used for food purchase and rent.
