Local champions join forces to match your donation

It was a big deal when we got accepted into the NewsMatch program, as it doubles your donations dollar-for-dollar. This is just as big.

We are grateful and excited to share that a group of local advocates of journalism have stepped up and committed $18,000 to our CommunityMatch fund. What does that mean?

That means if you make a donation between now and Dec. 31, that donation will be TRIPLED. So, you donate $100, and NowKalamazoo gets $300 to fund quality local journalism. If you haven’t contributed, please consider helping us reach our goal and take advantage of this impact multiplier.

(And, if you already contributed during this NewsMatch campaign, don’t worry: this CommunityMatch fund will apply to all donations retroactively, too. If you were one of the heroes who stepped up to take advantage of the Joyce Foundation match, your donation will now effectively be quadrupled!)

This CommunityMatch is made possible by the generosity of Optimed Healthcare Partners, The Hall Foundation, Elizabeth Upjohn Mason, Julie and Bob Peterson, Michael and Julie Cartier, Yeo & Yeo, Alan Silverman, Jim and Petey Stephanak, and two anonymous couples. We’re grateful for their support — please show them yours!
