What would your dream community, country, and democracy be like?

What if that wasn’t so far off?

Our democracy in the US is far from perfect, and at the same time it has provided us with so so much. While there’s plenty of talk about how it’s broken, there’s less talk about what we can do about it, and what we actually want it to become.

We're organizing a series of interventions to reignite a new sense of civic engagement in the US, and with it a renewed sense of government accountability to citizens.

Some upcoming activities include: Next Democracy Unconference + AI and Democracy Forum, democracy hackathons and accelerator programs to support innovative initiatives (for-profit/nonprofit/civic initiatives; high/low/no tech, et ) that can boost our democracy, citizen-led candidate debates, working on communications/marketing campaigns to boost civic engagement nationwide, etc.

Why we're asking for support:

Right now this is a volunteer-led effort, but we can't sustain that much longer, and we think it's critically important to focus intensively on this effort this year, with these critical elections coming up.
