From Wichita to Nationwide: The Story Behind Aging Untold

ABOUT THE EVENT: A former member of Wichita Professional Communicators, Katherine Ambrose, returns to share the inside story of how a local idea—rooted in community conversations and human-centered storytelling—grew into the nationally syndicated daily talk show Aging Untold.

Katherine will walk audiences through the show's evolution, from a pilot produced in Wichita, Kansas, to a broadcast production based in Atlanta, airing coast to coast—from Honolulu to the Atlantic. Season One of Aging Untold launches March 2 with a special 70-episode run, airing twice daily, including in Wichita and Topeka. Season Two expands to a full 160-episode season, launching September 11, 2026, with broader markets and prime daytime slots.

In this candid and practical program, Katherine will explore what communicators need to know about modern broadcasting, scaling a message nationally, and building authentic media that resonates. She’ll also highlight how every cohost on Aging Untold emerged from her work here in Wichita—proof that local voices, when nurtured and prepared, can carry a national platform.

This session is both a behind-the-scenes look at a national media launch and a case study in how thoughtful communication can reshape the conversation around aging.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Katherine Ambrose is a nationally syndicated media host, nonprofit founder, and longtime real estate professional whose work reshapes how America talks about aging.

She is the host of the daily national talk show Aging Untold, produced in Atlanta with Gray Media, where she spotlights real conversations about aging, independence, caregiving, and community—stories often overlooked in mainstream media. Through the show, Katherine brings together experts, advocates, and everyday voices to challenge outdated narratives and elevate what aging can look like in modern America.

After founding both Keller Williams Realty offices in Wichita, Katherine made a defining pivot in 2018—choosing to create her own lane and dedicate the rest of her career to serving older adults through education and media. In 2019, she launched the Empowered Senior seminar series at Botanica Wichita, which evolved into the PBS Kansas television series Empowering Seniors. Now in its sixth season, the show has aired more than 100 episodes statewide. Empowered Senior now operates as Empowering Seniors Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

In 2023, Katherine launched The Senior Call, a weekday morning Zoom mastermind that grew into the Senior Home Coach™ National Network. Members across the country now lead community education, launch National Aging in Place Council chapters, and expand aging-in-place initiatives in their local markets. She has hosted three national conferences for Senior Home Coach™ professionals, including EQUIP (2024 and 2025), Podcast Camp, and the Elite Media Skills Camp, and served as host of the LEAP Conference in Tampa in April 2025.

Katherine’s leadership and impact have earned national recognition, including the Outstanding Service Award from the National Association of REALTORS® and the 2025 Service to Seniors Award from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, where she also serves on the Editorial Journal Board of Directors. She is currently producing more than 70 episodes for Season One and a full 160-episode season of upcoming national programming.
