Neighborhood House is built on a foundation of mutual respect and inclusion that is achieved through the power of education, self-examination, and equal access to resources. One of the many ways Neighborhood House honors these values is through our musical partnership with the Mundi Project, whose goal of breaking down generational and socioeconomic barriers with music allows us to continue our 128-year-old legacy.

Help us provide 12 weeks of music making access, March through May, for 40 kids and adults. Every week they are able to build a deeper connection with each and bond through the power of music. These musical experiences are led by teaching artists who work closely with the kids and adults helping them foster meaningful connections and social empathy.

Intergenerational music making brings together people at different stages in their lives around a shared musical experience where they all benefit from each other's interactions and experiences. Research has demonstrated a measurable impact from breaking down generational barriers and participating in cross-generational experiences. Program participants have reported improved psychological well-being, increased self-esteem, reduced age stigmas and decreased social isolation.
