A MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY:

We are astounded by the pace at which this fundraiser has grown. Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

When Flourish Placemaking Collective graciously offered to sponsor the work of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, we hoped we could raise an amount in the thousands, or maybe tens of thousands, of dollars -- to support groceries, rides, and other direct support to neighbors. In the two weeks that this fundraiser has been open, we've received over $400,000 of donations. We have distributed much of this as one-time rental assistance to neighbors who cannot safely leave their homes, and we continue to fulfill grocery and ride requests daily.

At this time, we are pausing ongoing fundraising so we can assess our scope, systems, capacity, and the best way to continue to support our community. 

It is not lost on us that this grassroots vision of connection and community, run by neighbors, has become a stand-in for more formal systems of support, and that we have been playing a critical role in connecting neighbors and resources where cities, counties, and the state have fallen short.
