The St. Andrew’s Society Foundation, with a $20,000 grant from the Dan Reid Memorial Fund, is launching a youth bagpipe band for underserved kids in San Francisco. This initiative will provide instruments, lessons, and mentorship, introducing children to the art of Scottish piping. For many, it will be their first opportunity to engage with music, offering them discipline, confidence, and a sense of belonging within a cultural tradition.
Beyond the music, this program will create a supportive community, connecting youth with Scottish heritage and performance opportunities. Your support will help equip them with the tools and encouragement needed to thrive—giving these children not just a hobby, but a lasting connection to history and identity.
