Why This Campaign Exists

Across communities in the United States, many families are quietly standing alone. Since 2012, Gathering Outreach Community Services has been committed to supporting families who need consistent care, connection, and community by partnering with local school districts.

Research consistently shows that:

• A growing number of families lack extended family support
  nearby due to relocation, housing instability, or economic mobility.
  

• Low- to moderate-income families are more likely to experience gaps
  in childcare, after-school supervision, mentorship, and access to supportive networks.
  

• Social isolation and financial strain often compound,
  making it harder for families to ask for help or know where to turn.

For many families, the absence of a reliable support system doesn’t mean a lack of effort or care. It simply means they are navigating life without the safety net others may easily access.

What may seem like a small gap to families with reliable support, such as access to after-school programs, consistent help, or someone to call, can feel overwhelming to families with no family or friends to turn to.

This campaign exists to change that, one family at a time.

Who This Campaign Supports

This campaign supports low-to-moderate-income families, particularly those with children who benefit from:

• Meaningful gatherings that build connection, belonging, and stability
