Nonviolent Austin Selma Training

Nonviolent Austin is growing our team of Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation Trainers to offer the powerfully relevant philosophy and practice of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to Austin area libraries, schools, places of worship, and beyond.

Your financial support will cover the training and travel costs for us to spend a week in March at our sibling center, Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth, and Reconciliation. We will learn first-hand and up-close with Civil Rights living legend Dr. Bernard Lafayette. We will also honor the 60th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday, crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge in solidarity with living Foot Soldiers and thousands of other justice-seekers from around the country. Any excess funds will be spent on materials and operating costs for local Austin Nonviolent Austin activities and workshops.

Thank you for being a part of the movement and the Beloved Community.
