Now Matters Now

We’re building the most trusted online space for suicide care—led by those who’ve been there, grounded in proven tools, and designed for real-world access—right now.

We are transforming suicide prevention by flipping the traditional care model on its head, requiring no diagnosis, referral, or payment. We are working towards a future where lived-experience-informed support groups are as ubiquitous and accessible as AA meetings, available online 24/7.

This is systems-level change: shifting from a gate-kept model of care to a community-powered network of support grounded in science.

Thank you for helping us get there! 💚

At Now Matters Now, we offer three unique, science-backed programs that work together to help anyone survive emotional crises.

  1. Digital Coping Skills Library: A platform of coping strategies and stories by and for those with lived experience. Always free, always available.

  2. Virtual Peer-Led Support Groups: Free, weekly groups for both youth and adults. Join anonymously, no pressure to share. Co-created with people with lived experience. Stories are shared and coping skills are learned together.

  3. A Public Health Intervention for Dangerous Emotional Crises: Stop, Drop, & Roll for Emotional Fires: A simple 3-step process for surviving suicidal states and intense emotional moments.

What makes us different:

  • Online & Accessible: We’ve adapted one of the most effective interventions for suicide prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, into short, engaging videos and skimmable tools for self-paced learning or in-group practice.

  • Free & Anonymous: No insurance, no cost, no judgment.

  • Led by Those with Lived Experience: Our groups and content are co-created by people who have experienced suicidal thoughts, chronic distress, or related challenges.

  • Science + Storytelling: Every tool we offer blends evidence-based DBT with real stories from people who’ve been there.
