The hardship statistics in Norristown are staggering. 

• Norristown is a book desert - a high-poverty area that lacks basic access to age-appropriate books, high-quality reading materials, and book culture
• Poverty rates are above the national average 
• Literacy scores are the lowest in Montgomery county

👭 $100 funds a middle schooler for our book clubs all school year. Our book clubs are a safe space for kids, full of laughter, friendship, food, and books.

📚 $10/month provides an entire kindergarten class with a set of books, ensuring that our youngest readers have books to enjoy at home.
