Phoenix Police Officer Ginarro New tragically died in a collision at the age of 27. EZAZ.org is fundraising to help support his family. We will present PLEA with the donation on Thursday.
From KTAR:
PHOENIX — The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association is holding a fundraiser to assist the family of an officer who was killed Monday night after his vehicle was hit by a red-light runner.
PLEA’s fundraiser for Phoenix Officer Ginarro New will take place Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at its office near 11th Avenue and Adams Street.
“The best thing they can do for Officer New’s family is to make a financial donation,” President Britt London told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s The Mike Broomhead Show on Tuesday.
“There’s a time where his wife and family are gonna need some help and this is the best way for the community to show that support.”
Police responded to the car crash, which killed the other driver, at Greenway Parkway and Cave Creek Road around 10:30 p.m.
