Nantucket Commercial Shellfish License Stipend

We decided to flip the script on Giving Tuesday...

NSA will give a full stipend to every active Nantucket commercial shellfisherman and woman this year.  This is our way of saying thank you for all they do to sustain the health of our island's prized shellfisheries.

If you would like to join us, feel free to make a contribution of any amount. For every $1 donated, we will match it and then give all the money to our island's active commercial shellfishermen & women through this program.  

We will also give back to you with one of our blaze orange NSA Annual Harbor Hunt caps (after all, it is hunting season in Nantucket harbors too).

The 2025 Nantucket Commercial Shellfish License costs by category are:
$250 for Bay Scallop license.
$150 for Quahog or Mussel license.
$250 for Apprentice license.

We believe this program is a simple way to make a strong impact on the health and sustainability of our island's shellfisheries.  We thank you for considering to join us in giving back to the shellfishermen & women that harvest, protect, and preserve them.
