Founded in 2014 by Shakina Nayfack (Transparent, Quantum Leap, Connecting), Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) is a radically artist-driven community committed to reshaping the future of musical storytelling. MTF supports the development of work that challenges, disrupts, and expands the boundaries of the form, centering voices that have been historically excluded from development opportunities.

Through innovative programming, collaborative experimentation, and values-rooted process, MTF holistically equips its artistic community to create musical stories as a liberatory force for justice, healing, and radical imagination. From early ideation to performance-ready works, MTF ensures artists have the support, resources, and community they need to dream big and build transformative worlds.
