The Nordic Walking Association of North America (NWANA) is the first professional Nordic Walking organization on the continent. Our mission is to unite athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts to grow the sport and its community across all ages and backgrounds.

We educate, train, and certify Nordic Walking instructors and judges to the highest international standards — in partnership with INWA (International Nordic Walking Federation). We organize races, training programs, and events that promote health, active aging, and social connection.

Our next goal is to build a structured federation system with local clubs and leagues — from parks and schools to citywide teams and national competitions. We’re currently seeking support to bring INWA experts to the U.S. for coach and judge certification, launch community-based clubs, and create a lasting impact.
