2025/26 Season
No, it’s not Groundhog Day and this isn’t 2022, but we are feeling a little reminiscent of those times! However, not quite as dramatic and we feel a little more experienced this time around on how to problem solve. We know where we need to start, and we know the equipment and necessities that are essential in opening the trails. Most of all, we know the muscle needed and that many hands make light work! Currently much of Sawyer Counties 600+ miles of trails are buried under an abundance of fallen trees, large branches and debris, low hanging branches and bent over trees making trails impassable for groomers to pan, groom and open gates but additionally snowmobiles needed to get through and pack trails. Our owned equipment is being where and when it can be but that the full potential is slighted due to the conditions so additional equipment that the SCSAA does not own is needed to be outsourced with hired contractors with the appropriate machines. There is also more fuel than usual needed for such equipment and efforts. We have all waited through two long seasons to be able to ride again. Seems Mother Nature is a little confused on our requests, but we are not complaining about getting this snow, we are happy to see it and motivated to work with it! But if you want trails open, we NEED your help! Please consider donating to the SCSAA to help us complete clean ups as efficiently and safely as possible! Also, please note we are a 501c-3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible! A food for thought for that end of year deductions 😊. Thank you for your continued support and choosing Sawyer County as your riding destination!
