Hello,

We are the Avalon Interact Club, 30 students strong from our High School and Middle School. Living on an island, we do a lot out community service such as trash clean ups, we also help at community events and we are working on a mural for our school. We also volunteer at at woman’s and children shelter in Long Beach. We fund raise to get those kids Christmas presents, and before Covid we would bring the presents over and cook a meal for all the families. We hope to resume that activity as soon as we can.

When the war in Ukraine started we wondered how could we help families who are making the difficult decision to leave, and leave in a hurry. When we heard about ShelterBox we knew that was a great way for us to reach families displaced by the conflict.

Be sure to stop by our booth, right next to the Rotary Club booth at the Catalina Art and Craft festival to help raise money for those families in need, see info below.
