Annual Appeal 2023

We are building a community resource which promotes a sustainable environment through our creative reuse shop, STEAM workshops for kids and adults, and providing low-cost and free supplies for classrooms. At Greener Good’s creative reuse shop, anyone can shop for low-cost art, craft, school and office supplies. From pencils to paints and buttons to batting we are available year-round for low-cost and free supplies. Our efforts include a Tools for Schools summer event which in its inaugural year provided over 70 teachers with more than $7,000 worth of free new and reclaimed supplies.

This giving season we are rolling out several opportunities to support our growing efforts to make a difference in the northwest Chicago suburbs and beyond

Tools for Schools

Supporters can donate to our Tools for Schools program which provides free supplies to classrooms for this academic year. Visit our fundraising page to Adopt-a-Classroom or Adopt-a-School

General Support

We are a volunteer-run organization and we take in materials for the community which means we have relatively low costs. General support funds help us pay for program costs such as rent, insurance, providing other local nonprofits with materials, attending community events, printing flyers, and working towards creating green jobs at Greener Good. Other organizations like ours around the country are in spaces from 2,500 -10,000 square feet. Imagine the amount of materials we can collect and redistribute in the years to come! Currently we are in a 450 sq ft shop with lots of boxes in the garages and homes of volunteers which we rotate into the shop.
