Background on FlyUSA and Airpark Developments In 2022, the City of Clearwater issued a request to find a new operator for Clearwater Airpark. In January 2023, FlyUSA was selected for this role. Their proposal includes the construction of a new two-story building that will house office, classroom, and community spaces, replacing the current manufactured building on-site.

This new construction will require the demolition of our facility to accommodate a larger parking lot for this new FBO.

When we first engaged with FlyUSA, we were assured that facilities would be available to continue squadron operations. Although no formal agreements were made in writing, there were discussions about hangar space that would allow us to maintain our vehicles, classroom space, and logistics facility under one roof.

Currently, we operate in approximately 4,000 square feet of office, classroom, and storage space. Unfortunately, the current offerings by FlyUSA are insufficient to maintain our squadron operations as we are accustomed to.

While the final outcome is still uncertain, we are committed to finding a solution that supports the continued growth and excellence of our squadron. Your donation will help cover our relocation costs and expenses related to the relocation.
