The BVMI Patient Testing & Screening Fund

Help Us Bridge the Gap in Diagnostic Care

BVMI provides free, high-quality medical care to Bergen County’s working uninsured—people who earn too much to qualify for public assistance but not enough to afford health insurance. While our volunteer medical professionals deliver exceptional care, we often rely on outside providers for critical tests like mammograms, colonoscopies, imaging, and sleep studies—services that are out of reach for many of our patients.

About 1 in 4 BVMI patients fall into a coverage gap: they qualify for our care but not for hospital Charity Care. When faced with paying for a test or feeding their families, they’re forced to put their health on hold. Your support will help cover the cost of these essential services and allow us to expand diagnostic capabilities in our clinic, including equipment like a Pulmonary Function Testing machine, a new EKG, and a home sleep study unit.

Your gift can mean the difference between early detection and a missed diagnosis. Please give today to help ensure every BVMI patient has access to the care they need—and deserve.
