Since 2019, the Binji ministry has ministered in rural villages of Eastern Uganda. In addition to teaching the Bible, we feed widows and abandoned families, and help with medical emergencies as we are able. We learned about Cyprian on Monday, 6/18/24, when we were teaching in Bulanga village. His mother, Susan, is one of our widows who is a faithful leader in the congregation.

On June 11, Cyprian, age 13, suddenly collapsed at school and has been mostly paralyzed since. We brought him to Jinja on 06/19, discovering Cyprian had had a hemorrhagic stroke. He was immediately transferred to Kampala. The neurologist in Kampala recommends surgery in Nairobi, Kenya, to repair the aneurysm (ruptured blood vessel). This is the closest hospital with the equipment and skilled surgeon.

THAT SURGERY WILL COST ~$40,000.

In the meantime, Cyprian’s medical expenses must be paid up. We owe nearly $6,000 for the Kampala hospital, ambulance, scans, medicine and food. Because we don't yet have money for the surgery, Cyprian has been returned to his home to wait. A local nurse will help his mother care for Cyprian while we pray for a miracle. First we must pay the current balance, then we hope to raise the $40,000 for life-saving surgery.
