Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
Hi! If you do not know me personally, my name is Chelsea Zawadzki and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I have been a BCBA for 1.5 years, and worked in a research setting prior. In my current job, I work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, as well as their families. I consider myself an advocate for the autism community, and want to continue to be spreading my advocacy.
I have been given the opportunity to travel to one of the following countries: Kenya, India, Ecuador, or Rwanda! While traveling I will be dedicating my time alongside a group of individuals with the same mission, spreading awareness and acceptance of autism.
Oftentimes, individuals with autism face communities that do not understand and/or are unable to accommodate their needs. While on this trip I will be providing training, engaging in outreach activities to increase awareness and acceptance, developing leadership skills by helping to design and complete a wold-changing project with a team of peers. My team will come together from all over to collaborate and work towards solutions for our partners and to create an impact in their communities.
This experience wll help to bridge global gaps in awareness and acceptance of autism. We will work together across cultural, language, and professional barriers to make an difference!

My "WHY"!
I wanted to share some background on my "why" behind the desire to travel to an international country. I currently work with/have worked with a diverse range of families, many who have moved to the United States from other countries, primarily where autism is an undeserved population. I want to travel to another country to continue to increase my cultural competency to serve as a better clinician to all families I serve.
Thank you for your consideration to donate to my mission. All donations are tax deductible.
