D.C. Central Kitchen Event Fundraiser

On October 21, 2025, Philly Cooks is hosting an educational and fact-finding event at the iconic D.C Central Kitchen.

We are asking for help to cover the transportation and meal expenses from Philly's 30th Street Station to D.C.'s Union Station, shuttle to DCCK, and boxed lunches for approximately 20 - 25 leaders.

This event will be attended by City Councilmembers, the Mayor's Office, State and Federal elected offices, civic and community leaders and most importantly, the key intended stakeholders: the School District of Philadelphia, Nutritional Development Services, and Phila Parks & Rec.

We welcome your support for relocating the production of over 13 million federally-reimbursed meals from New York to Philly. These meals primarily feed our youth and we intend to employ their family members and neighbors in a 65,000 SF commercial scale central kitchen in our City.

D.C. Central Kitchen is THE iconic community kitchen in America and we have quite an agenda planned.
