One Day to Remember

Each year, 500,000 children face losing a parent to cancer. For these young families, much of their time is focused not on playdates, family time, and after school activities, but on appointments and treatments, worry over finances, and uncertainty about the future.

That’s where One Day to Remember comes in…through a unique, curated experience designed for each individual family, we provide hope and joy to children who have a parent battling advanced-stage cancer. Every family receives a personalized day of activities for the parents and children to enjoy together, specifically based on their interests, abilities, and health status. The day includes the cost of meals and transportation, a portrait session with a professional photographer, and a professionally printed memory book shipped directly to the family after the outing.

Children with a terminally ill parent deserve quality family time that is NOT centered around cancer, where they can simply focus on making memories with the most critical person in their life: their parent

Over the last several years, referrals to One Day to Remember have skyrocketed; as word of our unique mission spreads, the demand for the program has increased, as well. Meeting these needs will require a significant influx of dollars to support expanded access for families who desperately deserve a chance to smile.

With your help, we will provide support to more children who have a parent battling advanced-stage cancer and offer them a safe place to connect, laugh, grieve, and feel LOVED.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping to provide comfort and light to families during the darkest and most challenging time in their lives.
