This week the Faith in Action Council selected the Multi-Faith Feed Your Neighbor event as our half-plate recipient. At a cost of $4,000, each event packs 10,000 healthy shelf-stable meals (@ $.40 per meal) that are donated to food pantries in the greater Portland area. The event is organized by “The Outreach Program” which provides all the ingredients, packaging, and training to pack healthy shelf-stable meals to help feed our neighbors.
