Rebels For A Cause is a charity black-tie boxing event created and produced by STRENGTH IN THE CITY, a for-profit event production and community experience company dedicated to building accessible, inclusive wellness and fitness experiences, no barriers, no judgment.

Through immersive events, STRENGTH IN THE CITY brings people together to move, connect, and give back. Rebels For A Cause is one of our signature fundraising experiences, designed to spotlight impactful nonprofit organizations while creating a powerful, unforgettable night centered on courage, discipline, and community strength.

This one-of-a-kind event not only benefits local nonprofit partners, but also uplifts first-time boxers stepping into the ring, individuals who commit to months of training, personal growth, and mental resilience in service of something bigger than themselves. Rebels For A Cause celebrates strength in every form: the organizations doing the work, the neighborhoods we serve, and the people brave enough to rise to the challenge.

Expands access to movement, health, and arts programming for students and underserved communities, redefining wellness through creativity, connection, and equity.

Healthy Hood Chicago
A grassroots public-health initiative closing the 20-year life expectancy gap in communities of color through wellness services, nutrition access, education, and youth empowerment.

RE-CONNECT Chicago
Provides essential resources such as winter wear, school supplies, and daily necessities to underserved youth, supporting stability, dignity, and long-term well-being.

Box United
Empowers girls and young women through boxing-based mentorship, blending physical movement with social-emotional learning to build confidence, resilience, and mental wellness.

Our Purpose & Impact

Rebels For A Cause is more than a fundraiser, it is a movement rooted in community, transformation, and collective responsibility.

Our goal is to produce a high-impact, world-class event that covers essential production and operational costs while maximizing net proceeds donated to our benefitting partners. For 2026, we are working toward a target goal of donating a minimum of $20,000 in net proceeds to support the important work of our beneficiary organizations.

Net proceeds from Rebels For A Cause help fund:

Free and low-cost wellness, movement, and arts programs
Youth mental health, confidence-building, and resilience initiatives
Community-centered health education and healing experiences
Essential resources and support for underserved youth and families
Continued advocacy for equitable access to wellness and care

Financial Transparency & Disclosure

Rebels For A Cause is produced by STRENGTH IN THE CITY, a for-profit event production company. Revenue generated through ticket sales, sponsorships, and on-site fundraising is first used to cover event production, operational, and administrative expenses. Net proceeds from the event are donated to our designated beneficiary partners.

Ticket purchases and sponsorships are not tax-deductible. Any charitable contributions that may be eligible for tax deduction will be made directly to the nonprofit organizations in accordance with their policies.

Rebels For A Cause honors the organizations driving real change and the everyday rebels stepping into the ring to fight for their own growth and for the communities that need it most. It is a night dedicated to strength, heart, and collective impact.
