Support the Ojeda 6th Grade Science Field Trip

Our sixth-grade students at Ojeda Middle School, a Title I school, have been working incredibly hard all year long, pouring their energy, determination and curiosity into every lesson.  They've studied, experimented, and grown in amazing ways.  But there's one thing many of them have never experienced: a field trip.

This year, we want to change that. 

We're planning a very special end-of-the-year field trip to Longhorn Cavern State Park, and we need your help to get us there.  This isn't just a day out – it's a chance for our students to step into a living science classroom.  On a guided tour through the spectacular underground limestone caverns, they'll witness real-world examples of weathering, erosion, deposition and the awe-inspiring formation of natural landforms.  It's hands-on, mind-son learning that ties directly to our 6th Grade Science curriculum. 

Our kids have never had an opportunity like this.  For many, this would be their first time ever leaving town with their classmates, and the first time seeing science come to life in such a dramatic way. 

We're asking for your support to help cover transportation and entry fees, so every single student can be part of this memorable experience, regardless of their financial situation. 

Your donation helps us open a world of wonder, discovery and possibility for students who truly deserve it.
