It was a sad day at A-WOL :( Our front door was damaged over the weekend.

We looked at getting a new door a couple months ago to upgrade to an exit push-bar, but it is expensive. The pane of glass is $781 to fix (which has to be done at the very least). To upgrade the door is around $4300, and we would need a coded front door lock as well, so a new door would be close to $5,100. We are looking to the community to help us with the repair, or possibly a brand new upgraded door! It isn't quite Giving Tuesday, but $5 will help with the cost of a new pane of glass.

UPDATE 9/3/24

Right now we are working with the landlord to get just the glass replaced (the full door is looking to be a longer wait as it needs to be ordered and shipped and we would prefer to have the glass fixed sooner than waiting a month or more for a door install).

Additional funds beyond that, will go towards any future door repairs. The lock on the building generally needs some tune-up 1-2 times a year and can cost $330 to $900 a visit for a repair. Yes, the door lock cost us $900 to fix at one point in the past.

Any extra funds from this campaign will go towards the Aeros and FlyCo scholarships that have been granted for the 2024/25 year.

A-WOL's warehouse headquarters offers a place of belonging for its patrons.
