Each year the members of the OMSC spend 700+ hours preparing, maintaining, grooming, building bridges, placing signage, and more to keep hundreds of miles of trail available to the public for their enjoyment of snowmobiling in a pristine environment.

The funding comes from member dues (small club of around 50 members), donations by local businesses, some state funding, and most importantly our generous donors!! Each year the club spends upwards of $50,000 to operate the groomer, maintaining trails, and the clubhouse. Some of this is covered by the State of Maine, but not nearly all! Every dollar helps!

In this season, it is likely our funding will be cut based on COVID-19 demands, as well as options for fundraising limited as in-person events and the like are not possible. Even so, enjoyment of the trails continues with the generosity of volunteers, but funding is critical to provide fuel for the groomer, equipment maintenance, insurance, signage, and more.
