Giving Tuesday-One Bed Campaign

Open Doors provides emergency shelter for those experiencing homelessness in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community. Last year alone, we provided shelter for 237 individuals.  

At Open Doors, it costs roughly $8 per night to host one bed for one unhoused guest. 

Each night that we provide safe and supportive shelter, we also provide a hot meal, showers and basic care items such as toiletries, hats, gloves, and undergarments to name a few. Without Open Doors, those 237 individuals would not have anywhere to stay, access to a hot meal or basic care items.

This year, for Giving Tuesday, we aim to partner with 10 new monthly donors! 

By committing to a monthly donation of $8, you will cover the expenses to provide shelter for one unhoused individual for one night!
