Open Circle Arts, formerly Irvington Arts Collective, was born from a simple but powerful belief: the arts can help people belong.

What began as a grassroots effort to create more accessible, welcoming arts experiences in Irvington has grown into a vibrant community of singers, artists, learners, neighbors, and friends. At the heart of our work is the conviction that creativity is not reserved for the few. It belongs to everyone.

Open Circle Arts creates inclusive spaces where people can be seen, valued, and connected through shared creative experiences. We believe that art is not only about performance, product, or talent. It is also about presence. It is about gathering in a room with other people, trying something new, listening deeply, making something together, and remembering that we are not alone.

Our flagship program, Harmony Collected Community Choir, embodies this mission. Harmony Collected is a non-auditioned choir open to all, regardless of musical experience, background, identity, or ability to pay. While we care deeply about beautiful music, our deeper work is building belonging through song. Each rehearsal is more than preparation for a concert. It is a weekly act of community, care, and connection.

Open Circle Arts also offers Embodied Creativity programming, which invites people to experience the arts through the body, the breath, movement, mindfulness, and shared creative practice. These offerings create space for rest, reflection, expression, and connection in a world where many people feel isolated, overwhelmed, or unseen.
