Open Two Doors: SOS Boys + Girls Group Homes Fund
Series of Supporters (SOS) Group Home is a mission-driven nonprofit creating safe, structured, and supportive homes for youth experiencing homelessness, abandonment, family instability, or unsafe living conditions in the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex.
We’re building more than a shelter—we’re building stability. SOS provides consistent routines, caring mentorship, education support, life-skills development, and connections to counseling and trusted community resources so youth can grow academically, emotionally, and socially.
Where we are right now
We are starting from zero—no property, no furniture, and no supplies—but the need is urgent and real.
This campaign is our “launch the homes” moment.
Our goal
We’re raising $75,000 to help open two SOS homes—one for girls and one for boys—and to secure the essentials needed to operate safely and responsibly.
What your donation helps fund
Your gift directly supports launch needs such as:
Housing startup support (move-in costs, deposit assistance, and basic setup)
Beds, bedding, towels, and clothing essentials
Kitchen and household items (cookware, dishes, cleaning supplies)
Safety and wellness basics (first aid supplies, hygiene kits, storage/organization)
School support items (backpacks, supplies, learning essentials)
Transportation and daily-life stability needs as we prepare for placements
We also need in-kind and housing support
If you can help with a donated property, reduced-rate lease, or move-in support, you can help us open faster.
We’re also accepting in-kind donations such as:
Beds/mattresses, dressers, and bedroom furniture
Living room and dining furniture
Linens, towels, and cleaning supplies
Hygiene items and hair/skin care essentials
Gift cards (Walmart, Target, Amazon, grocery)
The impact
Every gift helps create a home where youth feel safe, seen, and supported—with structure, dignity, and encouragement that helps them move from instability to confidence and growth.
