Operation Moldova

For the past three years, JD Drinkard (US Army Retired & Executive Director of Mighty Warrior Foundation) has traveled with Roads of Hope to Eastern Europe to help them fulfill their mission of rescuing children from dark places. Moldova has been one of the largest hubs for child trafficking in the world and the majority of those who are targeted are orphans. 60% of orphaned girls are sex trafficked after leaving the orphanages and 20% of boys are labor trafficked.

Roads of Hope stands as a symbol and opportunity of hope for these orphaned children by rescuing children from danger, protecting them from the evils that prey on their vulnerability and by providing for their needs as well as the families who serve as their foster families.

JD has been working on certifications in mental health and will soon finish his certification on Mental Health First Aid for Teenagers and has been asked to travel to Moldova and work one on one with teenagers from across the country at the annual summer camp. These children have faced a tremendous amount of adversity in their lives and having someone to talk with who brings compassion and wisdom to help them navigate their emotions and beliefs will have a lasting impact in their lives that will ripple into the lives of generations to come.

You can be a part of this journey by helping JD and Roads of Hope cover his travel expenses to Moldova. No donation is too small and anything raised above the current goal will be donated to the mission and used for the orphans of Moldova.
