Opportunity Fund (Quick Action)

With only 7% of farms and wildlife habitat in the southern third of Illinois conserved, we need to increase the pace of conservation.

Sometimes we only have a small window of time to protect a critical prairie or forest before a family is forced to sell it. The opportunity fund helps us be ready to preserve critical habitat when time is crucial. 

Funds in the Opportunity Fund/Quick Action Fund are dedicated to critical land acquisitions. Our priorities are for acquisition are important wildlife habitats, prairies, wetlands, forests, and critical access or connecting lands.
