Junior Guards from across the country will be here to test their skills and enjoy Va Beach hospitality and the excitement of competing in a national competition.

This daylong event offers multiple events including swims, run swim runs, distance runs, paddles, relays, and the ( fan favorite) JG Beach Flags! Competitors are divided into age groups:

U19 Competition – Ages 15 (by end of year) to 18*

A – Ages 14-15

B – Ages 12-13

C – Ages 9-11

*The U19 competition is a tryout for selection to the USLA Youth National Team that represents the USA in international competitions.

If your child is interested in competing in this elite competition, they may join Team VBLA for $125 which will include:

Practice opportunities on the beach at 24^th Street & Oceanfront.
United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) JG Gold Membership, required to compete in USLA Sanctioned events. ($20 Value)
Registration in the championships ($60 Value)
