Celebrate the harvest season with us on our nonprofit "Care Farm," located in Nashville where we use therapeutic farming practices to foster supportive employment for adults with disabilities while sharing the produce we grow with local food pantries.

We recently learned that the USDA has canceled the LFPA25 (Local Food Purchase Assistance) program. While the Tennessee Department of Agriculture funded this program through July 1, 2025, LFPA25 was anticipated to be a key source of funding that would allow us to continue to provide fresh, locally grown food to families in need and support small-scale farmers in our region.

This sudden loss of funding puts critical programming at risk for Old School Farm and many other small farms in the area that have already grown food specifically dedicated to this program. Without this program, we’re facing immediate gaps in our ability to make weekly deliveries of fresh produce to our food pantry partners and sustain employment for our mission farmers and farm staff who carry out the mission of our organization.
